Logitech Z-5500

Hi guys, sharing my PC sound system on this blog. Got this 5.1 speakers on 04/2007 at Fuwell@SLS at a special price, hehe.

PC soundcard (HT Omega Claro) connects to control pod using Monster co-axial cable.

Xbox 360 connects to control pod using normal Optical TOSLink cable.

This Satt speaker cables are upgraded to canare 4S8, soldering done by Yantronics @ VRZone.

I would have to admit that these are my first 5.1 speakers and was totally blown away by the sound quality. Tested with few DVDs/HD-DVDs and the Woofer is quite impressive, shakes things up in the room, Cant increase the vol more than 30% - 40%, cuz its too powerfull and neighbour may not be happy with it.

Dell 2707WFP LCD Monitor

Bought this Dell 27" inch LCD during Comex show 2007(aug-sept). Price was SGD$1.5K with 5 yrs warranty. guess what, received the package after 1 week and found 3 bright pixels, called the CSO, and sent another replacement(which the stand is slanted but nvm that) and there was 2 LCDs on my desk for 2 weeks+ and later was collected back. And my monitor died on me last mth again. Called & got my replacement within 1 working day. So far no issues such as pixels or stand. Love the large working space and the nice resolution (1920x1200). The only prob i find is the back of this panel gets very hot, anyway, will install a aircon soon so shouldn't be an big issue for me. Another issue is hard to drive the monitor's resolution with such expensive GPU's to play game in such resolution, anyway i'm more into consoles now.

I'm using this monitor for Xbox 360,PC and soon PS3 as well.
Watched HD-DVD's on this baby, it was damn sharp and pretty clear. Cant wait to hookup de PS3 with some cool blu-rays.

Just bought this console for xbox 360 exclusive titles, as for other titles, might be getting PS3 40GB arnd march/april. Cheers to all.

Crucial Bling Bling Ram

Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB DDR2 PC2-6400

These Modules are rated for 800MHz at 4-4-4-12-2T timings at 2.2v. That's considered a high performance low latency kit for those of you unfamiliar with DDR2 ratings. DDR2 has a default voltage ratings of 1.8v, but most high performance DDR2 will require anywhere from 2.1v - 2.3v to achieve lower timings especially.

Intel Quad Core

Intel Quad Core Processor Q6600 2.4Ghz
Oh My Quad! The Q6600 is a 2.4GHz chip, like its little brother the E6600. Both CPUs are nearly identical and use the same die(s), except that the Q6600 has two of them. Essentially, everything is doubled. Twice the cores, twice the cache and twice the drool. Like the other Core 2 Duos, Core 2 Quads are based on a 65nm process, although the process requires a slightly higher stock voltage. Prices expected to go down after july 22 2007 , Latest news : The G0 Stepping would be 95W (10Watts lesser) and hopefully abit cooler.

Clock Speed : 2.4Ghz
FSB : 1066Mhz
L2 Cache : 4MB x 2
TDP : 95W
Cores : 4

Samsung 26" LCD Tv

Samsung 26" LCD Tv (LA26R71B)
Considering to get this Tv to pair up with PS3/Xbox Elite/Oppo DVD Player in future.

3000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio

Wide Viewing Angle 176/176

10-Bit Signal Processing

1366 x 768

HDMI x2, PC Input

The reason i'm going for this "HD Ready" only Tv instead of a Full HD Panel is that i dont see much games coming out on FullHD, most of them are released at 720p format except for BD/HD-DVD movies. And 26" is just nice to put on my ikea jerker table and enough for my room. Anyway, still have an eye on that BenQ 24" Full HD LCD...

MY FIRST BLOG

Hello-Friends, THIS IS MY FIRST BLOG !!!

Logitech MX1000, Worlds 1st Laser Mouse :)
Was looking for this mouse almost abt 3 weeks, gave up hope and abt to order thru amazon.com but gave a try calling non-popular IT shops, Hit the jackpot! Bought this on xx-xx-xxxx, @ cyberactive, sengkang. But the bad news is , the driver CD was missing !!! WTH!!?? Called and asked them how come like this? They gave me an option to change the mouse to another model or 100% refund, since i cant find this model at any other place(tired of hunting), didnt went for a refund. Didnt had a good cam fone at that time, used my friends Sharp SH903(Yeah, its a cool fone). UPDATE : Bought another old Logitech MX1000 for office use too.
